In my quest to find a cheap UPnP server to stream videos to my PS3 and 360 on my network, I wound up with this wild contraption <------. The $139 Wind PC (because Earth PC was taken) Intel machine. Now I could have just put Windows on this bad boy and ran WMP11 to serve up the goods, but that would have been too easy, and besides, MediaLink from Nullriver is the best UPnP software I've come across for sharing media from iTunes, iPhoto, etc. I don't recommend anyone trying this at home though, its not for the faint of heart... it was a lot of burning discs, jerry rigging, flashing bioses, and installing DOS on thumb drives (it's still good for some things apparently).

I must admit that is a sweet setup. I have been wondering what the best way to serve up files to my XBox 360. Nice to see someone with a creative solution.
