Introducing Google Sync... Beta

What do you get when you mix Apple, Google and an Exchange server? Free over the air syncing of Google Calendar and Gmail Contacts of course! In an unexpected bombshell of an announcement, Google yesterday introuduced a new beta service called Google Sync. What this means to MobileMe will remain to be seen, but let's do the math... Google = Free, MobileMe = $100/yr. I already hooked up my iPhone and it works amazing so far... simply awesome. SpanningSync was good while it lasted, but now, I regret I have no need for it anymore :(
